Attracted by the new coal mining developments SSY opened an office in Colombia in 1.986 which took a major role in chartering the vessels for the coal exports. In 1,995 the employees reached an agreement with SSY which meant the beginning of Amazonas Shipping Ltda., who represented them for coal chartering activities until 2003. It also started its diversification to other dry cargo activities. We specialize in chartering vessels for the carriage of dry cargo in bulk mainly transported to, from or within Latin America, Caribbean and North American countries.

To be charterer´s brokers, representing their interests and offering them our experience in order to obtain be best possible freight and terms with sound shipowners. Opposite to many brokers, we are not owners brokers, we do not represent any shipowner and we are not shipagents. This gives us the independence to look for the   interests of our clients, normally industries requiring to carry their cargoes by sea. Our native tongue is the Spanish, allowing us to have an easier communication with Latin American companies which makes the different tasks of chartering and shipments coordination easier and minimize the risks of costly errors due to lack of good communication.
